Catalyst Events Instagram Competition: Official Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. By participating in the Catalyst Events Instagram Competition, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Competition Period: The competition opens on 25 June 2025 and closes on 15 July 2025 at 11:59 PM SAST. Any entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

2. Eligibility:

• The competition is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

• Participants must be residents of South Africa.

• Employees of Catalyst Events, their immediate families, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, or promotion agencies are not eligible to enter.

• Participants must have a public Instagram profile to allow verification of entries.

3. How to Enter: To enter the competition, participants must:

• Follow the official Catalyst Events Instagram account (@CatalystEventsZA).

• Like the official competition post on the @CatalystEventsZA Instagram feed.

• Share the official competition post to their Instagram Story, tagging @CatalystEventsZA. The story must remain live for at least 24 hours.

• Comment on the official competition post, describing one innovative idea or dream element they would love to see at their next corporate or private event.

• Each individual may submit one (1) entry only. Multiple comments or shares from the same individual will count as one entry.

4. The Prize:

• One (1) winner will receive a R5,000 (Five Thousand Rand) discount off Catalyst Events' service fees.

• Minimum Event Value: The R5,000 discount is applicable only to new event bookings where the overall event budget (before Catalyst Events' service fees) is a minimum of R50,000 (Fifty Thousand Rand).

• Exclusions: The discount applies strictly to Catalyst Events' direct service fees for event planning and management. It does NOT apply to third-party supplier costs (e.g., venue hire, catering, decor hire, entertainment, audio-visual equipment, travel, accommodation, or any other supplier-related expenses).

• Booking & Execution Period: The winning event must be booked (contract signed and deposit paid) and executed (the event itself takes place) within six (6) months of the competition end date (i.e., by 12 January 2026).

• Selected event date is subject to availability of Catalyst Events.

• Non-Transferable: The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable for cash, credit, or any other service/product. It must be redeemed by the confirmed winner for their own event.

• One Per Client: Limit one prize redemption per client/event.

5. Winner Selection & Notification:

• The winner will be selected randomly from all eligible entries received.

• The draw will take place on 15 July 2025.

• The winner will be announced via Catalyst Events' Instagram Story on 15 July 2025 and will be notified via Instagram Direct Message within 24 hours of the announcement.

• If the selected winner does not respond to the direct message within 48 hours of notification, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be drawn.

6. Publicity:

By entering the competition, participants agree that if they win, Catalyst Events may publicly announce their Instagram username and name for promotional purposes related to the competition.

7. General Disclaimers:

• This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.

• Catalyst Events reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition or these Terms & Conditions without prior notice, should unforeseen circumstances or technical difficulties arise.

• Entries deemed incomplete, fraudulent, or not adhering to these rules will be disqualified at the sole discretion of Catalyst Events.

• All decisions made by Catalyst Events regarding this competition are final and binding.
